Grave Yard Point Plume Agate I owned the claim and commercially mined the Grave Yard
Point Plume Agate back in 1981. The slabs
you see here are my select slabs that I cut over 25 years ago and kept in wooden crates ever since that time. This is the first
time the mass public has seen these in over 25 years. My father Dudley Stewart
had the first claims back in 1947, 49 and 51. He renamed this agate from Idaho Plume to Graveyard Point Plume Agate. This form of seam agate comes from the Owyhee Mountains of Oregon. Plume
agate gets its name from its beautiful plume-like shapes. The colors range from a creamy white to yellow, pinks, rare reds,
and different shades of blue. Iron pyrite plumes also adds to the beauty of these slabs below. |
